Dr. Chuck Andrews [NANC & IABC Certified]
Executive Director
Chuck has been Executive Director of the Biblical Counseling and Educational Center in Visalia since its beginning in 1992. He holds his Doctorate of Biblical Studies in Biblical Counseling from Masters International School of Divinity (MISD), along with his B.A. degree in Psychology and Christian Counseling and an M.A. in Biblical Studies, both from Louisiana Baptist University. He is a professor with MISD and serves as Vice-President with the International Association of Biblical Counselors (IABC).  He has developed and taught seminars for the center. Chuck and his wife Debbi, have been married since 1979.  They attend Calvary Chapel of Visalia. 

 

Mr. Mike Anderson [IABC CERTIFIED]
Vice-President/Porterville Director
has a B.S. from Fresno State in Secondary Education, an M.A from Northern Arizona in history and business.  He owned his own business since 1974 and retired in 2007.  He is IABC certified.  Along with his wife, Sherry, they established a counseling ministry at their church (Porterville Evangelical Free Church).  Sherry is IABC and NANC certified.  They conduct training classes, seminars and workshops in discipleship training on various topics.  Mike has his private pilots license.

 

Mr. Gary Stiff
Secretary
Has 2 years at Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College.  He spent four years in the Air Force and is currently working as a computer technician for a national company.  Gary has been involved in various ministries from Sunday School to coaching a girls travel volleyball team.   Gary and his wife Mae were married in 1976 and they have two children, Kara and Kellie.

 

Mr. Dave Kehler
C.F.O
Has a  B.A.from UC Santa Barbara and his Masters in public administration from Cal State University Long Beach.  He is currently the Retirement Administrator for Tulare County.  Dave has been involved with various Christian ministries since 1989.  He, together with his wife, Susanne have ministered and counseled with young married couples since 1997.  Dave and Susanne were married in 1980.  Dave and Susanne have a daughter and son.

 

Mr. Lester Moon [IABC CERTIFIED]
Earned his Associate of Arts in Business from Adirondack Community College and a Bachelor of Science, Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.  He has counseled with the Biblical Counseling and Educational Center since 1998.  He and his wife Leslie, have been married since 1986  and have three children.

 

Mr. Romel Pumarejo [IABC & NANC CERTIFIED]
has a B.A. in criminology and an M.A. in Biblical counseling. He has worked as a probation officer, drug and alcohol counselor and is currently a social worker for a faith based foster home agency.  Romel has volunteered as a Chaplin for the local law enforcement agency and has served as an associate pastor.  He is NANC and IABC certified.  He founded the Family Biblical Counseling and Training Center of Fresno and has been doing biblical counseling for since 1998.  He has taught discipleship classes through out the valley and teaches in Mexico on an annual basis.  Romel and Elia have been married since 1977.  They have two grown sons.

 

Mrs. Helen Domena [IABC & NANC CERTIFIED]
earned her diploma as a Registered Nurse from St. Vincent's School of Nursing in Billings, Montana. She is a certified member of the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors and the International Association of Biblical Counselors. She has counseled with BCEC since 1992. She and her husband Ray, have been married since ­­­1958 have three grown children and four grandsons. She is an active member of the Visalia Evangelical Free Church.

 

Dr. Robert Somerville [NANC & IABC CERTIFIED]
President Emeritus
Dr. Robert B. Somerville received his Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 1970 and has served as a Pastor-Teacher (Senior Pastor) in the Evangelical Free Church of America since October of 1970. In 1977 he received his Doctor of Ministry degree in Biblical Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary.

Dr. Somerville serves as a member of the Board of The National Association of Nouthetic Counselors and in 1988 he was appointed as a Fellow. He has spoken widely on the subject of Biblical Counseling, teaching seminars in the U.S. as well as speaking to missionaries in Europe, Central & South Africa, and Japan. He brings 35 years of experience as a senior pastor and over 10,000 hours of marriage and family counseling practice into the classroom.

Dr. Somerville served as the Pastor-Teacher of the Visalia Evangelical Free Church from February of 1980 – August of 2005. During this time their church established and he then served as the Chairman of the Board of the Biblical Counseling & Educational Center which is an ongoing ministry of the Visalia Evangelical Free Church. Currently Dr. Somerville serves as the Director of Graduate Summer Programs and Adjunct Professor at The Master's College in Santa Clarita, California.

Dr. Dayton Kitterman [NANC CERTIFIED]
Board member Emeritus
received his B.A. from Southwestern College, Phoenix AZ, his M.A. from Berean Graduate School and his Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Counseling from Trinity Theological Seminary, Newburgh, IN.  Dayton has served in the ministry since 1974 and has been Senior Pastor at Faith Community Church in Visalia since 1989. He is one of the founding members of the Biblical Counseling and Educational Center. He is a Fellow with the National Association of Noutheic Counselors and has taught counseling courses throughout the United States and Belarus.  He has a passion about helping others and desires to be used by God to touch people and assist them in learning how to live their lives in a way as to find His purpose and plan.  Dayton has been married to Jeanette since 1970 and has four grown children.
