Discipleship/Counseling COLOSSIANS 1:28
Unlike other counseling services, which offer an integrated approach to counseling, BCEC’s approach is based entirely on God’s Word. The scriptures tell us that, “God has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence” (2 Peter 1:3). Our goal is to show the counselee God’s perspective of the problem he is facing and then show him how to implement God’s word in his daily life.
The counseling ministry is open to any individual or family who desires to deal with the issues that lay before them from God’s perspective. We maintain that God’s Word is adequate to teach us what we need to know, to reprove us when we go astray, to show us the correct path and to train us in doing right (2 Timothy 3:16,17).
Our lead counselors are certified through either the International Association of Biblical Counselors (IABC) or the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors (NANC). Through many hours of classroom training and case study evaluation these counselors have been fully equipped to handle all of life’s problems from a biblical perspective.
Though no fees are charged for counseling, each counselee is encouraged to make a per session donation to the ministry to assist in its costs. |
